~ All pool owners know that sanitizers, like chlorine, are essential to a healthy swimming pool. They keep your water germ-free, clean, and ultimately, safe for swimming. So having to add chlorine to your pool is nothing unusual. But it is important to keep track of how often you do. WATERWELL PROFESSIONAL CHLORINE is our recommended brand of premium quality granular chlorine.
Size: 4 kg bucket with handle
Directions for swimming pool use (use only as directed):
Adjust the pH to 7.2-7.6 for marblite pools and 7.0-7.2 for fibreglass pools before adding WATERWELL PROFESSIONAL Granular Chlorine.
Add WATERWELL PROFESSIONAL Granular Chlorine in the late afternoon.
Add WATERWELL PROFESSIONAL Granular Chlorine around the side of the pool or through the weir while the filter system is running.
To prevent bleaching of coloured and vinyl-lined pools, granules should first be dissolved in a bucket of water.
Recommended routine dosage for 50,000 litre pools:
Do daily checks to ensure chlorine residual is between 1.0-2.5ppm.
Add approximately 250g WATERWELL PROFESSIONAL CHLORINE (cup provided in bucket) granules daily or as often as is needed to maintain the recommended chlorine residual.
For stabilised pools (with a cyanuric acid level of 40-60ppm) add approximately 250g WATERWELL PROFESSIONAL CHLORINE Granular Chlorine every 2-3 days or as often as is necessary to maintain a chlorine residual level 1-3ppm.
Add WATERWELL PROFESSIONAL Granular Chlorine after heavy rain or lighting.
Recommended shock treatment for 50,000 litre pools or for low chlorine residual, algae, or coloured water:
Adjust pH to correct levels.
Add 750g-1kg around the sides of the pool whilst the filter is running.
Run the filter system continuously for 24 hours.
Check and adjust pH levels after 10-12 hours.
The pool should not be used until chlorine residual is below 3ppm.
Basic pool maintenance:
Chlorine demand during summer is higher than in winter.
The recommended pH and chlorine levels must be checked and adjusted daily.
